Mom and Dad are always asking me to send them videos of T talking or playing.
However, he is NOTORIOUS for spitting up whenever I have the video on him.
This is take three in the past few weeks of me trying to get a non-spit up video.
I give up.

Flashback Friday...February 12th
Last February 12th, early in the morning, I woke up to get ready for work. I let the dog out, and while I was standing there in the kitchen yawning, I kept wondering, 'why on EARTH am I so tired???' The night before I hadn't been able to stop yawning either. So that early morning, a little light went on....
I went upstairs and took a test, even though I knew I was being silly.
This is what it said:

This is what it said:
I. could. not. believe. it.
I went straight into the bedroom to wake up BT and tell him.
"Well that was quick," was his response.
Yes, yes, it was, and it seems like it's going by quicker each day :-)

7 to 7
what's 7 to 7, you ask?
that's how long T slept last night without waking up.
my three & a half month old rocks my world.
and today and tonight he will get doted on and loved all day in Montgomery with his grandparents.
I worked this morning for an event, and BT came out to participate.
now we're relaxing, napping, and catching up on sleep, even though we weren't even expecting to get such a great night's sleep last night! the night before T slept from 7-5, woke up to eat, and went back down. but last night, was even better. we both woke up, showered, and ate breakfast before he even woke up.
what a great feeling. and tonight will be dinner and fun with friends.
last night was my first night of uniterrupted sleep since he was born, and tonight, well we just needed it.
here's to a rockin good weekend full of sleep and fun ;-)

You Get What You Pay For
We were out of diapers yesterday, so I went to Wal-Mart to get us some more. I am continually astounded at how much diapers cost. I guess because they know they have you cornered, unless you actually have the time and diligence to use cloth diapers (which in my opinon cost just as much and are just as bad for the environment) or to do that crazy baby potty-training thing.
Anyway, we have been loyal Pampers people from the beginning. We tried Huggies, and just didn't like them. I love me some Pampers. But as I was in the diaper aisle yesterday, I noticed a box of 94 Pampers Size 2 was $19. Then I saw I could get 94 Wal-Mart brand Parent's Choice diapers for $12. We are a generic family, for the most part. I love Publix brand stuff, and Thomas has been on Sam's choice Member's Mark formula since I quit breastfeeding. We always tell Thomas, "if generic is good enough for us, it's good enough for you." He gives us a big toothless grin like he understands.
So I made the decision to give Parents Choice diapers a try and bought a 42 pack for $6. I felt like I was getting a steal, so then in my logical world, I decided since I was planning on spending $20, I had $14 to play with, so I got Thomas a cute little outfit, some toilet paper, and me a coke for the road.
Bad call on the parents choice. Thomas went to sleep at 6:45 last night. When he woke up at 4am to eat, and I went in his room to get him and change his diaper, I found that he leaked through his diaper, his pajamas, his sleep sack, and onto his sheets.
I'm all for saving money, but not at the expense of dealing with a massive pee pee cleanup at 4am.
Back to the Pampers effective today, and now I'm having buyer's remorse over the extra $14 I spent.
At least that coke was good.

Changes
You may notice I've changed the title to the blog, as well as the design. I was feeling a real need to 'clean out' and simplify a bit. Why the title? No reason, except it made sense with the color scheme, and also seemed like it would be one of those titles that people could interpret all sorts of meaning to if they chose. But overall, no need to pretend to be something I'm not.
I'm going to try to write more on here. I love writing so much, and I think it would be good for me right now, to remind myself there's more going on than bathtime and spitup and poopy diapers.
As for this post, I'm already spent. I spent the past hour trying to figure out the new updated editing available on here.
'Aren't you at work,' you ask?
I choose not to answer ;-)

Update
Just haven't had much time to update lately with work and routine, etc. I hate to say I don't even have any new pictures to put up! I will work on that this week.
I'm glad to say the RSV demon is officially behind us! Thomas is back to his old self and is totally loving being back at school. His sleeping is also slowly showing signs of moving into later baby-hood. He's started going to sleep between 7:30 and 8:00 at night, and normally will either sleep until 1am or 4am (i'm not sure how he makes this decision on which time he would prefer to eat), eats, then goes back to sleep QUICKLY for the rest of the night. It's pretty nice, and also it's been so nice to finally have some relaxing evening time for us after he goes to bed.
Work is good, just busy. I have a work event this weekend that both me and BT will go to, so Thomas is spending Saturday night with his grandparents in Montgomery for us to go to that. Besides that, it's just life as usual! I'm already looking forward to next Friday's 'Flashback Friday' for a trip down memory lane....
Have a great week!
