the pedicure was a success! i had such a great day yesterday. i needed the sun, the outdoors, and the fellowship, and i got all of the above. here is the result:

anyway, since jess tried and enjoyed my greek chicken crockpot, i'm including another favorite crockpot recipe. this is a beef tips recipe i just played around with until i got it exactly how i liked it. it is really good and comforting.
Crock Pot Beef Tips
Ingredients:
1 lb of beef tips
1 packet onion soup mix
1 can golden mushroom soup
1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 onion, chopped
if you have it, about a 1/4-1/2 cup of red wine, but if you don't, you can leave it out.
put the beef in the bottom of the crockpot and mix all other ingredients together and pour over beef. cook on low in the crockpot for about 5-6 hours. serve hot over rice.
you will really enjoy it.
if you feel bad for not having any green, throw some peas on the menu. english peas go perfectly with beef: beef tips, meatloaf, beef gravy. i don't know what it is about the flavor combination but it's great.
