It's friday morning. I am in a rush. All morning long, I think of everything I need to get done before I am able to start this weekend. Fridays are always like that: a part of you is so happy it's Friday; the other part is just a little stressed. And like every woman I know, my brain is working on overdrive. 'We need to go to the store...I need to clean....what time do I need to leave in the morning to get the dog to the vet....and on..and on...'
The cars BUZZ by on 20/59, and it gets even worse the closer I get to 65. Slam on brakes, speed up, change lanes, think, think, think.
And then it happens.
Every Friday morning, at 7:25am, just as I am merging onto 65 South, I hear the Storycorps music on NPR--and I STOP and LISTEN. It makes me stop and listen, and reflect, and think. But this time it's thinking about things that matter. And it sort of centers me in a way I need, especially on a Friday morning. It reminds me, in short, that humanity is all around me...
Listen to today's Storycorps HERE.

I love your Fiday "Storycorps" posts... like you said so well, these little snips do remind us of the humanity of the world. Thanks for that!
