So Tired

After a day that began at 5:55am, I am officially wiped.

Took the kiddo to work with me this morning, so let's be honest, there wasn't a lot of working going on...

Then we went to get his four month checkup and shots. Poor, poor mean old shots. I think when he was two months old, he was much less 'aware.' This time, good Lord, poor thing seemed to be weepy all day remembering how awful it all was. He also finally was given the go ahead to get off the trush medicine just in time to be put on a topical creme for his eczema. He has some really bad dry skin patches on his face. We are hoping it's not a food allergy, but just in case are taking him off cereal for a week to see if it clears up. If it does, then we'll give it to him again to see if it causes another flare up. Nothing like running a science experiment on your kid.

His four month stats are good and healthy: 16lbs, 1 oz--75th percentile; 25 inches long--50th percentile, with a head size in the 90th percentile just like his daddy.

Then poor thing was sacked out in his carseat by the time he got to school. After I dropped him off, it was back to work to finish reading a 32 page community health grant.

After work, I ran to rite aid to have the topical cream filled, then went to pick up T. Then of course, we turned back around and went to pick up the topical cream.

Then home. Every time I picked him up he started crying this pathetic little cry because his little legs hurt from the shots.

Then bottle, or some of it.

Then bath, which seemed to calm him down.

Then another bottle since he didn't finish the first.

More crying.

Finally, asleep.

It's 6:45, and I smell my sweet husband making spaghetti.

I'm ready to eat, sleep, and do it all over again.

Even still, among all of the craziness of this day, I am so very, very thankful.

poor baby! just be prepared...for me at least, the shots got harder! make sure to give him some tylenol or motrin right before he gets them. it helps a lot. i dread doing it again w/ the twins :( hope his little face clears up and its just dry skin. thanks for your sweet comment on my blog today! i hope tomorrow is calmer! many hugs!
