Yes, it's been a rough month.
And yes, we've had a busy weekend.
But the main reason for my lack of posting is my complete inability to catch this boy with the camera anymore! It's impossible! He is SO. VERY. BUSY.
When I've tried to catch him with the camera, this is what I've gotten:
This boy just has too much to do, check out, get into, climb on, and get dirty with, and it's so much fun.
So, this evening, after a wonderful day together that included us all going down to the Whistle Stop Festival, where Thomas got a stick on tatoo that he loved (note the dinosaur on his right leg that he picked out all by himself),
And after T's friend Allan's first birthday party, where he played and played and played, we got home and had some good quiet after dinner playtime.
I leaned over to him, and said, "thomas, give mommy a kiss."
He reached over, hugged me, and gave me a big sloppy wet kiss on my cheek.
It melted my heart.
And then he gave me what I've been trying to get for weeks now...that smile.
