Friday night, my Aunt Darlene was SO wonderful to offer to have Thomas come spend the night with her to get in some good playtime with his "cousin" from Mississippi. (I say "cousin" because I'm not quite sure what the proper 'relative' term is for my step-cousin's daughter :) Either way, they had a great time, and it gave me and BT a much needed date night. We went out to dinner, then met some friends for bowling and really enjoyed the night off. Thanks so much, Darlene!!!
Saturday, we met my parents for lunch, who were coming through town on their way home from Memphis. We went to Urban Cookhouse, a new restaurant in Homewood. If you haven't tried it, I highly recommend it. What a great casual place with good, fresh, local food and comfy, unique menu items. It was great seeing mom and dad, and Thomas can't wait for his weekend with his GG and Doc in Mobile in less than two weeks!
Last night was a good relaxing night at home in order to get ready for today! This afternoon, we took Thomas to our friends Heather & Brian's little boy Jack's 2nd birthday party. Jack is one of the cutest things ever, and if you know his story, he is also a 2 year old little miracle. We were so happy to celebrate his special day with him.
After Jack's party, we came home for a quick clothes change, and it was out again to meet our friends Kerry and Jeff and their little boy Allan for dinner at Mexican. Allan and Thomas are a month apart, and Kerry and I have had so much fun experiencing their first year together. They were totally hamming it up at dinner together, which was so entertaining to watch. We had a great time, as always. Love those guys.
On another note, I got a little something in the mail this weekend....
It's official! My little Mally Pally's getting hitched!!!
Can't wait for the wedding!
