Last October, we celebrated your birth! Your dad and I waited patiently (or not so much) all month for you, and after my doctor determined that you weren't coming on your own, we scheduled a date and time to come in and get you.
The night before you were born, your dad and I went out to one "last meal" all to ourselves, to Maffioza's pizza. I was so nervous I could hardly eat. That night, I actually slept WELL. Of course, that wasn't too surprising. I slept better pregnant with you than I ever have.
The next morning, we woke up, got dressed, and I took Mr. Beau over to Miss Kristen's house to stay for a few days. When I got back home, your dad and I loaded up into the car and headed to the hospital. When we got there, of course, both your grammie and gramps and gigi and doc were already there waiting, so excited.
My c-section was scheduled for 12:15pm. About an hour before, my dad, your doc, came into my room where they were prepping me, and prayed for you. By this point, I think your dad and I were very calm, considering.
You were born, perfectly, at 12:24pm weighing 8lbs 9oz. and measuring 21.5 inches long. You were, PERFECT, pink, screaming, and full of life.
The rest of the time in the hospital was nothing short of celebration. You had so many visitors including your aunt Mally, your great Aunt Darlene, your aunt Angela, Mr. Ray, your friend Kal, Mr. Vsang, your friend Allan's mom Kerry, Miss Kristen, Miss Karen, Miss Emily, Mr. Payton, and more. You were already so very loved.
When we brought you home, it was wonderful. You were jaundiced, but not too terribly. We spent the remaining ten days of the month sleeping when we could, recovering, and getting used to our newest family member. Your Grammie stayed with us for two weeks, which really helped us all, and she loved getting to spend the time with you. Mr. Beau took to you pretty well, considering :-), and well, the cat, she just didn't seem to care. You still try to get all her attention, and you just can't let it bother you that she couldn't care less :-)
And of COURSE, you were the cutest Halloween treat :-)
