Cardio

We had our appointment with the pediatric cardiologist today for a fetal echo.

Great news: as far as what they can see on the fetal echo, Kathryn's heart looks good, both structurally and functionally. There are certain things that can't be seen until birth, but the rule of thumb is that if all is well on the fetal echo, then 9 times out of 10, all will be well after birth.

We keep singing praises for each thing that gets ruled out, and we keep praying for a miraculous recovery for our daughter at birth, or even before. We know without a doubt that it's possible.

I found this quote today and it sums it up for me right now:

"You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.' --Eleanor Roosevelt

For now, I will let God handle the rest, and I will take a nap.
