I notice that when people don't know what to say, they hug.
They hug really, really well.
Sometimes, they don't realize, the hug helps me more than words.
We had a great weekend. Family was in town: mom, daddo, mally, josh, and grandmother. All to celebrate our newest family member, baby Lyla.
Friday night we met for dinner at Village Tavern, and Saturday morning, we took Thomas to a birthday party for sweet little Jack. I can't believe he's already THREE YEARS OLD! Seems like just yesterday we were all hunkered down in prayer for that baby boy. And now he's a running, jumping little spitfire. Thomas sure did love Jack's juice boxes!
So, yes, the weekend was great. After the shower Saturday night, and everyone cleared out Sunday morning, we spent some time just the three of us at the park, then at the McWane Center Sunday afternoon. Thomas really does make each day bright for us right now, in every way possible.

So don't worry, we're living life.
Some days are sad, other days are a little more numb, and some days, like today, I laugh out loud.
Thankfully, for every day, I have hugs like this:
