Sight

One of you prayed for me to enjoy music again, I'm convinced.

Because somewhere between when I posted this and now, I'm singing out loud in my car, relishing in the music.  I can't seem to get enough of Jennifer Knapp, of Train's 'Soul Sister,' or of a song a friend of mine here sent me, called 'The Tie that Binds" by Sandra McCracken.  There are some songs, though, that still trigger tears.  And it's a really weird list of songs, things I wouldn't have ever thought would release the floodgates, but they do.

Time heals all wounds, right?  Unfortunately, probably not this one.

But right now, I just want to be excited about all the living....

Things like the fact that I keep seeing bunny rabbits everywhere.

And I live in a CITY.

One even hopped across the street at work right in front of my car, on an industrial drive in the middle of Birmingham....

Yup, these things make you take stock, make you look around, and make you feel ALIVE.

After all, what's the point of being here if we don't really see it???

For this sight, I am grateful.

"Look, I don't want to wax philosophic, but I will say that if you're alive you've got to flap your arms and legs, you've got to jump around a lot, for life is the very opposite of death, and therefore you must at very least think noisy and colorfully, or you're not alive." - Mel Brooks
